Help pass our landmark bill H.2554

Stronger vaccine laws mean safer schools, healthier communities, and better protection for kids who can’t be vaccinated. Right now, Massachusetts lawmakers are considering H.2554, an urgent bill that would close dangerous loopholes in our state’s vaccination requirements—eliminating the non-medical school vaccine exemption and requiring schools to report more immunization data. H.2554 is supported by 70% of Massachusetts voters and endorsed by our state’s leading medical, public health, and patient advocacy organizations.

Fill out the quick forms below to let our lawmakers know: the vast majority of voters in Massachusetts support strong vaccine laws. Let’s pass this landmark legislation and protect our kids now.

We’ve made it fast and easy to speak up. Use the forms below to send two sets of messages: one to the Health Care Financing Committee where H.2554 is under review, and one to your own legislators urging them to support the bill and reach out to the Committee themselves.

Messages are pre-filled and can be sent simply by clicking through, but we strongly encourage you to add a personal note for the biggest impact.

Talking points:
• Most Massachusetts voters (70% in a recent poll) support passing H.2554.
• Other states that have ended non-medical exemptions in recent years saw immunization rates rise - including some of our closest neighbors (Connecticut, Maine, and New York).
• High community immunity protects infants and immunocompromised people and prevents outbreaks. Measles is currently running rampant around the country, with most outbreaks occurring in areas with high exemption rates and low immunization coverage.
• The “religious” exemption has become a loophole driven by vaccine misinformation.

Thank you for taking action!
